The book is an easy reference book for mentors mentoring pre registration student nurses. It is easy to follow and covers most of the basics of good mentoring. The activities and cse scenarios provoke lots of thought and reflection. The contents lacks detail in some areas of mentoring e.g how patients can contribute to student nurse assessment; grading of student practice, and so for more experienced mentors it may seem a little too basic.
This is a handy, comprehensive book for nurse mentors. It is easy to pick up and use as a reference whilst on the go.
