Kate Shilvock is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Education, University of Warwick. Kate leads the Secondary PGCE Core Professional Studies course and the Secondary PGCE English with Drama course. She also has involvement with GTP and Flexible ITE trainees. A former Head of English, she has extensive experience of teaching. She has acted as both subject and professional mentor to ITE students on school placement. She is Deputy Course Leader for the Secondary PGCE and teaches on the Secondary PGCE English with Drama course. Melanie has worked in schools in the West Midlands where she was Literacy Co-ordinator and a Leading Teacher.
