Sage and the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) announce a transformative Open Access (OA) agreement to expand access to scholarly content and increase the visibility of research.
Effective mid-2024, this Read and Publish agreement will be Sage’s first in India and will provide authors affiliated with MAHE access to Sage’s portfolio of over 1,000 journals. It will also cover article publishing charges (APC) for participating researchers to publish in hybrid journals and offer discounted APCs for publishing in Sage's gold Open Access journals.
Commenting on the partnership, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) MD Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor, MAHE, said, “The signing of an open access agreement between MAHE, Manipal, and Sage marks a significant step towards enhancing the accessibility and visibility of research publications. This agreement aligns with the global movement towards open science, which aims to make scientific research freely available to all, thereby fostering greater dissemination, collaboration, and innovation.”
