When Things Go Wrong

This book will be used as a supplemental source as a detailed presentation of a range of sociological research methods. There is an attempt to conduct sociologically informed research within the present 'sociological' turn in Translation Studies, yet the translation student is not always aware of available research methods or of how they work in sociological research. The book also provides examples and practical advice which will be of great help to my students in the course "Translation and Sociology."

This edited text is valued for its range. It's great to be able to recommend a text which covers topics such as statistical reasoning alongside discourse analysis and important but sometimes over-looked issues related to policy, ethics, and 'when things go wrong'.

This is a fantastic resource for anyone studying or conducting research. A major plus point for the book is its design and structure, with key concepts, discussion points and further readings clearly identified to help reinforce the learning gained from the very insightful chapters. A valuable resource.
