Dr. Sumit Sarkar is presently Professor of Economics at XLRI, Jamshedpur. He is a Ph.D. from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, JNU, New Delhi. Before joining XLRI, he was member of the faculty at IIT Kanpur and at IIM Kozhikode. He has also taught at some other IIMs as visiting faculty.
