“Very likely - I chose the Kellogg text primarily because it seemed to be written at a level that would be suitable to my students. Each chapter is 30 pages and covers the basics of the area. That quantity of reading at that level is manageable for students to read approximately a chapter a week. If students mastered the material in the text, I could feel relatively secure knowing that they knew “what they had to know.” This was the text’s strength: providing the basics in a straightforward way. The graphs, tables and figures were simple and presented clearly.
