'As a new manager to an inpatient unit I found the chapters improving care, change management and entreprenurial skills and developing confidence as a manager and a leader of particular benefit. Adair's ten priciples of good time management is a tool that I shall use to help me in my new role. Although aimed at student nurses and qualified nurses this book would benefit all nurses and nurses new to management' - Helen Reeves, Clinical Nurse Manager, St. Giles Walsall Hospice

A really accessible text, useful for a range of health professionals.
This text contains a good deal of helpful information. The 'useful websites' section is particularly good. It is a sound reference for all healthcare professionals, not just nurses.

This book is essential reading for junior and senior nurses. I have recommended it to students and post graduate nurses, Senior Sisters , Lead nurses and Head nurses as it essential for development of junior nurses within a team and senior nurses who are in charge of teams
A useful book particularly for lesson preparation, some interesting exercises which can be adapted for use as either guided study or group work in class.
This will be a valuable core text for students.
This book is comprehensive and neatly published. I am using it for students who study management in Early Years so the directly nursing related information is less useful but the principles are clearly explained and the activities relating to values ,context and leadership were highly transferable. I will also be using the chapter on team working extensively for it's general application to the work setting. This book entices you to delve into it and points the way for more extensive reading.
Great series of books. Relevant to all levels of nursing and a great supplement for personal and professional development.
