I think this is an excellent book - whenever students ask for advice on DOING qualitative research (rather than writing essays on it), I reach for this.
Full of useful and informative chapters that take the students through the key stages within qualitative research.
An excellent primer for anyone who is new to qualitative research, and also a very useful reference book for people with more experience.
The book gives a good comprehensive introduction to qualitative research and belongs to the basic literature for understanding Framework Analysis.

A very solid and insightful introductory book for anyone engaging in qualitative research. It covers topics such as ethics and values to issues of writing and analysis. I would defiantly recommend this book to students who are dipping their toes into research and need a one stop book

This book is well written. Since i got my hands on this book, i have used it less compared to my peers and students as it so helpful seemingly not to me alone. As a result, i have consulted our library to have this book bought.

Extremely informative and well written text which covers a considerable amount of ground; from basic foundations of qualitative research, to designing and delivering a social science research project. The chapter on ethical considerations is very useful as is the chapter on generalising from qual research. UG and PG students will find this book very useful.
Students have found this a very valuable text not only on designing and carrying out research but also how to analyze qualitative data.
