Extremely informative and very easy to read. The chapters on Classroom Management and Behaviour Management will be used on the Registered Teacher Programme that I teach on. The students have employed the LEAST model for dealing with misbehaviour, and we have analysed the table on Effective Use of Praise in one of the taught sessions.
A useful text for the students on the FdA Early Years and FdA Learning Support.
This is a very thorough book with a robust blend of theoretical aspects and down to earth practicalities of the classroom. Part 1 provides clear foundations of theory while part 2 deals with the practial foundations of the classroom. Parts 3 and 4 take the practiacl apllications further and become progressively more specific. The book is very clearly structured and the use of key points to open and summaries and reflective questions to close each chapter is very helpful.
