"This book has everything...Whether you are a beginning student or a weathered elder, in private practice or public systems such as health or education, this book can empower you to develop, deepen your client work and personal style. A rare treasure!" - New Zealand Association of Counsellors Today, March 2010
This text is very suited to the Post Grad Cert in Child Adolescent, and also for the Humanistic Approaches module in year one of our BSc Degree programme. I have recommended this text to be added to our reading list.
A book that signposts the Gestalt approach with robust practical skills and application.
An absolute must have for any counsellors interested in developing a deeper theory into practice knowledge of Gestalt counselling.
This books also offers simply examples to help support learning.
I am delighted that this important core text has been re-published in an up-dated and extended edition covering new areas such as research and spirituality. A good, clear read free from jargon which makes it accessible for all levels of students
Provides learners with insights into how the theory of Gestalt therapy is applied. Very useful account of phenomenology.
This book is well written, well structured and easy to follow. There are suggestions in each chapter and recommended additional readings throughout.
This will be a very useful book.
Although a useful book and one which I will order for the library I don't think sufficient students will purchase the book
Another good book in the "Skills in..." series from Sage. Written with clarity, the book demonstrates practical applications of the theory of Gestalt.
Covers all the main areas, although it would be useful to base it on more research. Well wriiten and accessible for students.
