The features which make the book uniquely helpful to readers are, an overview of learning objectives, chapter outline, further reading, internet resources, case studies, self-assessment questions and companion website…. It goes to the credit of Harzing and Pinnington that the text at no place appears disjointed, although the book has contributions from a large number of authors. The book has a solid research base.
A comprehensive book on IHRM but sometimes (too) difficult to understand for our students (as English is L2)
This book is compulsory reading in our modules related to International HRM. The level and complexity of the language used in some of the chapters seems to be a challenge for some of our students (some chapters are more academic in style than others). The book is very informative and contains lots of practical examples case studies.

It is a classic textbook with thorough analysis and discussion on most contemporary thematic issues of International and Comparative HRM. It is exceptionally well-written by highly respected academics and edited by experienced and world-known authors.
This is a second recommended text in the International and Comparative Employment relations module on the Undergraduate BSc. It is up to date and clearly outlines the challenges of International HRM practice both globally and in the European context.
Excellent text - covers all the relevant areas - very detailed, with good diagrams and clear explanation. Good blend of HRM with international issues
The international human resources management piece written by Harzing and Pinnington in 2011 is an easy-to-follow material. The examples provided in the book cuts across cultures. In particular, the strategic dimension of HRM incorporated into the same book makes it valuable.
An excellent update from this author. This is a very welcome addition to the level 6 texts for IHRM and Global Mobility.
I would recommend this excellent textbook for even a mainstream HRM course as it brilliantly covers the international dimension of the discipline.

Very good additional resource for the course, because it has a specific view of International HR - and not only the expatriate focus; I liked the second edition by Harzing / van Ruysseveldt as well very much because it included several different topics in comparison to the third edition .
