The real life examples in this book gave me great insight into managing behaviour in my classroom. The tasks spread throughout the book helped to develop my understanding of behaviour management and to look at situations from different perspectives. A very useful addition to my library

This is a practical book, with useful examples of how teachers can manage difficult behaviours. Key learning theories are briefly introduced (Maslow, Skinner, Rogers), but the focus is on how to deal with disruptive groups in the classroom. Each chapter helpfullt ends with a summary of key points, "branching options" for how to explore the topic, and references. It is a shame that the paper quality is so poor and the font is very small. While the book is aimed at teachers in FE, there is much useful advice for HE practitioners.

In this book Susan Wallace provides and excellent resource for all student teachers wishing to enter post compulsory education. There are very few sources for behaviour management in this sector. This book will be of great value to students as well as experienced practitioners.
