A very practical book, well signposted and wide ranging in content. Useful application of theory to real world practice. Easy to read.

I would like to have seen much more space given to the NHS Health Care Leadership Model. Although the information is relevant to other disciplines, this is very clearly nursing focused text. I would like to have seen a much more critical approach to concepts such as 'learning styles' (for which there is a weak evidence base).

Contents very well explored and very interesting activities that allow to apply and further explore the theory.

I would recommend this book to undergraduate student nurses as it gives a useful overview of the current understanding of leadership theory

I like the fact the book is broken down into the individual, the team and the organisation. It provides useful strategies within all three areas and I particularly like the focus on EI and Myers-Briggs in terms of leadership styles, characters. It is up to date and NHS focused.

Interesting content, suitable for both nursing students and qualified nursing. It allows the reader an introduction to leadership theory, styles and skills. More accessible than other books on this subject.
