Scope of the Journal
The International Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (IJAPS) is the Diamond Open Access official publication of the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (IAAPS), a distinguished society that has been dedicated to the advancement of aesthetic plastic surgery in India for over 30 years. The journal aims to promote excellence in aesthetic plastic surgery and non-surgical aesthetic procedures, serving as a global platform for scientific exchange and innovation.
IJAPS will commence publication in 2025 and is committed to publishing original research articles, systematic reviews, ideas and innovations, surgical technical videos, and brief communications. The journal covers a wide range of topics, including facial aesthetic surgery, non-surgical aesthetic treatments, breast and body contouring procedures, advancements in aesthetic technology and so on. With a strong commitment to open access, IJAPS does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC), ensuring free and unrestricted access to high-quality scientific content for researchers and practitioners worldwide.
Beyond its national scope, IJAPS fosters international collaboration by promoting the scientific activities of renowned partner societies, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the British Association of Aesthetic & Plastic Surgeons, the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society, the Malaysian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Argentine Society of Plastic, Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery, and others. The journal is published thrice a year, with an "Online First" feature for accepted articles and complimentary print copies distributed to IAAPS members.
By providing a platform for global contributions, IJAPS upholds its commitment to advancing knowledge, refining surgical techniques, and shaping the future of aesthetic plastic surgery. Under the visionary leadership of its Founder Editor, Dr. Dinesh Kadam, the journal aspires to set new benchmarks in aesthetic plastic surgery literature, promoting academic excellence and fostering international collaboration.
International Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, IJAPS, is an official publication of the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. It is an open access, peer reviewed journal published tri-annually. The journal adheres to the double-anonymized peer review policy.
IJAPS aims to provide a platform for scholarly discourse and dissemination of cutting-edge research in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. It caters to healthcare professionals, researchers, and academics from plastic surgery and some specialties of Dermatology, ENT and Ophthalmology. The journal focuses on publishing high-quality original investigations, clinical and experimental studies, and reviews addressing various aspects including reconstructive surgery, aesthetic surgery, abdominoplasty, blepharoplasty, body contouring, genital surgery, augmentation techniques, emerging surgical techniques, innovations and more.
