Many students are keen to test interventions across a range of topic areas and in a range of settings. A better understanding of the intricacies of intervention development, delivery and evaluation is an important part of many student's development. In particular, a better understanding of the benefits of a good process evaluation in addition to the more obvious outcome measures is something that is important. This book offers a theoretical foundation for process evaluation but its strength is in the illustrations that it offers from real world evaluations. In particular, the use of physical activity illustrations is of great benefit to many students that I work with.
