Frequently Asked Questions

Journal Subscriptions

Following are some frequently asked questions regarding journal subscription. If you can't find the information you are looking for, please email customerservicejournal@sagepub.in with your query.

  • How can I subscribe to a journal?
     

    We accept journal orders by mail, telephone or fax.

    You can send an email to customerservicejournals@sagepub.in or call at +91-11-4053 9222 or fax at +91-11-4053 9234.

  • Methods of Payment

All subscriptions should be pre-paid. We accept payment in Indian Rupees (INR) by electronic transfer or Demand Draft (payable to Sage Publications India Pvt Ltd).

  • When will my subscription begin?

Subscriptions will commence with the first issue of the running calendar year.

  • Which countries do you service to?

Orders from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and the Maldives are serviced by Sage India.

  • Can I access journals through my library / institution?

    If you are currently studying or teaching at an institution, your library may already have access to subscribed journals, either in print (inclusive of free online access) format or online access.

  • How do I order back issues of journals?
     

    For most journals, Sage can arrange the issues from of the current year and the last year.

  • How much do you charge for delivery?

    Printed journals will be sent through appropriate logistics service provider and the cost of this is included in the price of the subscription.

  • Do I pay VAT for printed journals?

    VAT is not charged for subscriptions placed by individuals or institutions.
     

  • Can I access free articles and issues of online journals?
     

    For most Sage journals, a free sample issue is available online. To view a sample issue, please search for the journal at http://online.sagepub.com/ and click the Sample Issue button.

    For institutions, a sample copy of print journals may be available on request. In the first instance, please visithttp://online.sagepub.com/  and search for free online sample issues. Sage also makes free trials of journals available from time to time. If you wish to be informed of free trials relating to your subject, please sign up for new product alerts.

  • Claims policy

    Replacement copies of missing issues may only be sent if a claim is received by us within six months of the date of publication.
     

  • Cancellations/Refunds

    Please contact customerservicejournals@sagepub.in for all enquiries relating to cancellations and refunds.

  • Online Access
