I would have to say that this book is aimed at people who currently have a good understanding and experience of evaluation. I do not believe that its for introductory study but could be a good tool forthose wishing to evaulate their current methods or introduce something new

Joan L. Herman is Director of the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST) at UCLA. Her research has explored the effects of accountability and assessment on schools and teachers and the design of assessment systems to support school planning and instructional improvement.
