Sadiya Akram

Sadiya Akram is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at ANZSIG (ANZSOG Institute for Governance), University of Canberra. Her research interests include theories and methodologies of agency and, in particular, the neglect of the pre-conscious as a characteristic of agency. She also has research interests in the socio-political theory of Pierre Bourdieu, feminism and alternative modes of political participation.

Christina Akre

Christina Akre has a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Lausanne in Life Science on the theme of adolescents with chronic conditions and their families. She accomplished part of her PhD research during a 12-month fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health/Boston Children’s Hospital (MA, USA).
