After his graduation from Mansoura medical school, Abdel-Hamid finished his Master degree in basic medical research in endocrinology. Afterwards he obtained his PhD in basic medical science from the school of medicine, Mansoura University. Then he continued his researches both at the clinical as well as the basic levels focusing on cellular and molecular endocrinology.
Dr. Layek Abdel-Malek is Professor in The Dept. of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at NJIT. His current research interests are in inventory control, supply chain management, manufacturing systems, flexibility, and international engineering education.
