Joel G. Anderson

Joel G. Anderson, PhD, CHTP, FGSA, is an associate professor at the University of Tennessee College of Nursing. His research program focuses on nonpharmacological interventions for symptom management and caregiver support in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care. This focus includes an exploration of the psychosocial impact of dementia caregiving in an effort to develop person- and family-centered intervention strategies to alleviate caregiver strain.


John L Anderson

John L. Anderson, MA, SFHEA, is a medical sociologist. His career has mainly been in teaching and research in medical schools. His main research interests have been in psychosocial aspects of cancer, death, and dying; doctor–patient communication; and medical education. He has experience of quantitative and qualitative approaches and has supervised many postgraduate research projects using qualitative methods.
