Sage has an agreement with the Norwegian consortium for higher education and research organized by SIKT. The agreement for participating organizations (see list below) will run (commencing 1st January) between 2020 and 2025. The details of the agreement are as follows:
Corresponding Authors who are affiliated with institutions in countries, areas and territories in Research4Life’s Group A list publishing in one of Sage’s gold open access journals will automatically receive a full APC waiver.
In response to research and feedback from our market, including discussions with the library community, Sage has expanded its offerings to consortia customers. We now provide all of the following purchase options to library consortia.
There are a number of open peer review methods available. At Sage, the open reviewer reports we offer on selected journals all utilize the ScholarOne Transparent Peer Review Program.
Sage has an agreement with the Universidad de Burgos to publish articles open access. The agreement for Universidad de Burgos will run from January 01, 2024, to December 31, 2025.
Sage has an agreement with the Universitat Jaume I to publish articles open access. The agreements for the Universitat Jaume I will run from January 01, 2024 to December 31, 2025.
Sage welcomes proposals for new Special Collections in our Gold Open Access journals.
Special Collections are intended to attract high quality articles on topics of current interest in the field of the journal. They should be organized by Guest Editors who are recognized experts in their field.
It is helpful for Guest Editors to have a list of potential contributors already in mind, and reach out to them as soon as possible.

Open access content is made freely available to under the terms of a Creative Commons licence. Open access publication is usually subject to payment of an article processing charge (APC) paid by the author, institution or funding body.
