Leslie B. Snyder
(Ph.D. & M.A,, Stanford University; B.A., State University of New York at Albany) is Professor of Communication Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Her research assesses the impact of different types of media and messages, utilizing surveys, experiments, and meta-analyses. Recently, she has been a principal investigator of an NIH-funded study on the effects of alcohol advertisements on youth drinking, and has conducted meta-analyses of the effectiveness of communication campaigns on health topics in the U.S. and in developing countries.
