Christopher-Paul Milne, DVM, MPH, JD Tufts University, Boston, MA, USA
Dr. Christopher Milne joined the Center for the Study of Drug Development at the Tufts University School of Medicine (Tufts CSDD) over 15 years ago in 1998 as a Senior Research Fellow in order to address legal and regulatory issues. His research has resulted in over 60 book chapters and journal publications. Currently, his research interests include: academic-industry collaborations; disease, demographic and market access factors in the emerging markets; incentive programs for pediatric studies, orphan products, neglected diseases, and medical countermeasures (MCMs); and, tracking the progress of new regulatory and research initiatives such as regulatory science, comparative effectiveness research, translational medicine and personalized medicine. Throughout the 2000s, Dr. Milne has volunteered at the Drug Information Association (DIA) in various capacities such as Chair of the R&D Strategy Track for several DIA annual meetings. He is currently Director of Research at Tufts CSDD, Research Assistant Professor at Tufts University Medical School, as well as a member of the editorial boards of DIA’s Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science journal, and Pharma Focus Asia, and also served a five-year appointment as an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (2008-2012). Dr. Milne received a BA from Fordham University, an MPH from the Johns Hopkins University and holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Immediately prior to joining the staff of Tufts CSDD, Dr. Milne received a JD from the University of New Hampshire Law School and is currently a licensed attorney.
