S  Chatterjee  is  presently  a  member  of  faculty  in  the  Operations Management area at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad.  He  is a  Mechanical  Engineer  from  BITS,  Pilani,  and obtained a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and his Ph.D. from Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
