A useful, all round introduction to social psychology.
In our opinion, the book is too difficult to read and inaccesible to 100-level students. The book lacks a clear overview.
While it covers all topics within social psychology it does so purely from the mainstream cognitive position. Including global perspectives as part of the title seems inaccurate.
A highly accessible textbook, recommended reading.
Current book in use is good
I do like its global perspective - too many books are US focused. So far, recommended. When the focus of my current course changes, may well become essential
excellent overview of main topics re/Social Psychology, perhaps a bit too much text
I found this book interesting and informative. I found the Learning objectives at the start of each chapter very useful along with the highlighted key points. What I believe my students would find particularly useful are the web sites listed for further information.
Essential reading for General Medicine students, 1st year, for the following courses:

It has a broad spectrum of topics that covers all the major fields of interest and expertise and all the basic skills and attitudes that we teach and develop in medical students, when it comes to relating to the patient as an individual, to the patient's family, to the community, fellow professionals and society as a whole, developing also a transcultural perspective on social psychology.
